Hotel S16 - Munich

Having visited the city before, this time was great with its comfy bed and excellent location near the train station. I had a great experience and enjoyed the additional amenities.

the wifi connection was really weak.

It was close to the station which was very helpful. It was also close to the starting point of the tours. Only thing is I think they should give a better breakfast with some variety not the same thing every day. Tea or Coffee would have been ideal if provided in the room. Nothing to grumble as such.

The street in which the hotel is located is near to the main railway station but there are plenty of night clubs which makes the street not at all a decent place to live in, specially if you are travelling with a family. Moreover due to this fact, the place was too loud. The hotel itself was very dirty and there was a very bad smell in the rooms. The carpet, wallpapers, furniture was badly stained giving the room a look of filthy place. I wont recomend this hotel at all and will never stay there again. Wih additional 10 € a day we managed to get a room in another hotel which was excellent in all maters.

The location of Hotel S16 is unbeatable, sitting close to the main train station. Access to public transport is easy, which saved a lot of time . The room had clean bedding and towels, contributing to a comfortable sleep. I appreciated the useful amenities like a fridge and safe. The experience was marred by significant cleanliness issues. I switched rooms three times due to unclean showers and toilets. The third room was somewhat better but still raised doubts about thorough cleaning. Hot water was also inconsistent, quite frustrating. The staff interaction was fine, but they were slow in addressing some concerns. Despite its shortcomings, the value during peak season was good. Cleaner rooms would have.

The room was clean, spacious, and had a tv for relaxation. The 24-hour reception was a huge plus!

Hotel Modern did not allow us to cancel 3 (up-front paid 200 euro/night) rooms for 2 nights but when we wanted to use them on the second night, they were already given to somebody else. We should pay 129 euro again to get them? We call this theft, there is no other word and they should no longer be on the 'bookings' list

We consider Hotel Modern as not 'trustable' because of their very 'dynamic' reservation/cancellation policy

The staff was great and cordial - we can't wait to come back. We stayed in fairly quiet and luxury room with 3x single beds that also had wake-up service.

Room above cabaret with loud music all night.

Thank you very much, so I would love to come back here some time. It's a pleasant very good budget hotel with unbeatable location in Ludwigsvorstadt district not far from restaurants, a tourist information centre and Munich central and the restaurants. The staff are flexible and excellent. All in all they offer exceptional service.

I can say nothing good about it. Perhaps the location on map, in real life it's bang smack in the middle of the sex district.

Rude staff, tried to overcharge, rooms are at the back of the building directly above a strip club, dubious people coming and going at all times, rooms should be charged by the hour (if you see what I mean) completely dirty, room in total disrepair and dangerous, smells, dirty bedding, no wifi. Disgraceful. Do Not Stay Here.

perfect base for exploring munich's charming attractions

The hotel's proximity to public transportation, just a few minutes from the main station, made it easy to explore nearby attractions like St Peter's Church and the bustling Victuals Market, allowing me to immerse myself in the local culture .

the room (broken and humid walls, broken wardrobe without hanger), a very old table, the restaurant (small restaurant with bad service and a non friendly waiter), the quality of internet connection is awful and only in public areas (stairs LOL), plus they don't give you back your money in case of earlier check out.

the location is very good, just go outside the main station, then turn right, walk 5 min. that's it. but the surrounding are all of the casino, erico... but it's ok, safe when i was there.

the furniture and bathroom is a little bit old and defect.
